le croissant d'or patisserie

French bakeries are a must when in New Orleans and as much as I love Cafe du Monde, I enjoyed this place more. Yes, more. It was also less hectic, less touristy. My lone souvenir from the trip was a postcard of this place. Win!

Since college, I haven't spent nearly as much time in coffee shops as I used to but if I lived in New Orleans, I would be at Le Croissant d'Or every day. This place was adorable and French and cozy. It had it's own courtyard with fountains and everything. Not to mention the blueberry croissant practically melted in my mouth. Heaven.

  2. The stained glass! I imagine everywhere in New Orleans to look like this place. Romantic, other worldly, and quaint.
